The goddess of marriage and birth, Hera is married to powerful Zeus, the king of all the gods on Mount Olympus. Hera is the archetypal perfect wife. She’s intensely loyal, committed to relationships and the sanctity of a spiritual union. She takes her vows seriously and won’t abandon her partner when the going gets rough—there through sickness and health, poverty and wealth until the very end. Hera is depicted in La DoubleJ’s original print with a peacock, because its tail feather is one of her symbols, indicative of a watchful eye over her husband. A Hera may have the tendency to see her worth only through the husband’s power and prestige. If this is true, she can grow by learning to see her own value and to cultivate her individual needs and strength.
Mantra: Help me to make a commitment and be faithful.
