For toe-tapping lunches at the Hotel Pellicano and long and languid evenings sat around social distancing in St Mark’s Square, we’ve been raising our vibrations in our Lou Lou Shirt and Love Skirt by day and dramatic Lou Lou Dress by night. They strike just the right “I’m-here-for-the-conversation-and-cannoli” note that, let’s face it, is what summer vacations are all about.
A lesser-known fashion fact? A paperbag waist takes your look from safe to sassy in a shot. Our Sardegna skirt has been our go-to piece for so much this summer that we’re thinking of renaming it “The Best-Pal Skirt”. Hopping up and down the Spanish steps, check; strolling along the River Tiber, check; scoffing brioche and ice cream perfection in Palermo, check. Second style trivia? Rule numero uno of wearing palazzo-print culotte pants: find a matching palazzo floor to spread out in and have someone take your picture (did you even wear them if you didn’t, ragazze?!).
