When La DoubleJ Showed Milan Fashion Week How To Live Like An Italian!
With our heart-lifting, head-turning, double-punch designs, La DoubleJ helped get Milano Fashion Week off to an exuberant start this season with a glorious takeover of the Acqua di Parma store on the iconic Via Gesu. It was here where we unveiled the very special collaboration that we have been secretly working on with the legendary fragrance brand alongside our Fall/Winter 2020 collection and ragazze, it more than raised our vibration!
The guest list was a who’s who of La DoubleJ’s Great Gorgeous Girls and International community. From Hamish Bowles snuggling up with Pepper to Brian Atwood modelling the new reversible Puffy Poncho (and Eva Geraldine Fontanelli, Tamu McPherson and Angelica Morandini dropping by to say hi, it was a day of love, gratitude and so much fun.
Our collaboration with the extraordinary collage artist Claire Johnson was finally launched! J.J. discovered Claire on Instagram and it was - in our Founder and Chief Spiritual Officer’s own words - a “meeting of the hearts”. Johnson creates unique artworks for us which were unpicked by the design team and made into gorgeous new patterns that came printed, jacquarded and intarsiad onto sumptuous reversible jackets, super soft knits and our signature dresses. We transformed the space too with curtains and carpets in the new Dove print and had the extraordinary furniture designers Mati Design Lab upholster its Fiftypop chairs in it too.
The very special sunmertime kit we developed with Acqua di Parma was a hit! The idea was to bring together the fragrance brand’s rich Italian heritage and wrap it the La DoubleJ way. Using our Confetti Blu and Confetti Giallo print, we made beach towels, sarongs, swimsuits and tote bags (among other things) to join ADP’s toiletries. With the evocative aromas of Arancia di Capri, Fico di Amalfi and Mirto di Panarea scenting the space and our maximalist designs decorating it, it smelt like summer, looked like summer and made us dream of summer! Roll on May when it launches.
Everything in our gorgeous LaDoubleJ xAcqua Di Parma summertime kit will be available in May 2020, just in time for you to vacation like an Italian this summer! In the meantime, we'll be busy making the Fall/Winter 2020 collection so it's ready for you to start snapping up in August.
